My fascination with fossils began when I joined the paleontology fieldwork at the Alf Museum at The Webb Schools. Holding real fossils for the first time made me realize how ancient life connects to our world today. When I learned that Thailand has one of the richest dinosaur fossil records in Southeast Asia, I wanted to share that story with others, especially with children who may not have many chances to learn about science in a fun way. I hoped to create something that could make young students feel proud of Thailands prehistoric heritage while also supporting people in the northeastern region, where incomes are often lower than in other parts of the country.
From that idea:
• Wrote an illustrated Meet the Thai Dinosaurs, childrens book featuring 13 dinosaur species discovered in Thailand.
• Donated copies to school libraries and visited classrooms to share stories about fossils and inspire curiosity in science.
• Met with the Director-General of Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA) to purpose ideas to promote Thailands Dinosaur Route
• Met with Thailand Northeastern Provincial Administrative Organizations to purpose ideas to promote their Geoparks to create more income opportunities for families in the northeast.
